- EXPERIENCE DESIGN
For Africa Cultural House, which aims to strengthen cultural interaction between Türkiye and Africa, we designed a holistic digital experience that brings together strategy, content, design, and technology layers. Within the scope of the project, we created not just a website, but a living digital platform focused on cultural diplomacy, women’s craftsmanship, and sustainable collaborations.
A digital experience highlighting women’s craftsmanship
Rather than simply showcasing handcrafted products made by African women, we placed the cultural stories behind each product at the center of the digital experience. We developed a story-driven content approach that enables users to build an emotional connection with the products.
Through an interactive Africa map experience, visitors can explore where each product is made, discover cultural diversity, and trace the geographical roots of craftsmanship within a seamless digital interface.
Content architecture supporting cultural diplomacy
We developed a dynamic structure where all events held at the cultural house can be published and updated regularly. High-level visits between Türkiye and African countries were transformed into a digital cultural archive supported by photo and video galleries.
We also designed unique interactive modules featuring African cuisine, proverbs, and cultural narratives shaped by language, creating an experience where users actively explore rather than passively consume content.
Where strategy, design, and technology come together
As Natal Digital, we handled the project end-to-end, including digital strategy development, roadmap creation, content production, creative design, CMS panel development, and the entire software infrastructure.
The result is a comprehensive digital platform that highlights women’s labor, carries cultural heritage into the digital world, and supports sustainable collaborations between Türkiye and Africa.
About the project
Africa Cultural House Association was established in 2016 under the patronage of Mrs. Emine Erdoğan with the aim of making African women’s labor visible, transforming this labor into economic value, and strengthening cultural solidarity.
